About Us
Amped Fitness was launched in 2020 by our founder, William Swana, right as the world was slowing down and comfort was becoming a way of life. As Covid pushed everyone back into their homes, comfortability took over as the go-to dress sense — for work, for workouts, for everything in between. Dressing comfortably while still looking good was suddenly the whole vibe.
William wasn't the first into the athleisure space — plenty of brands already offered comfort wear. But he noticed something: most of them weren't South African. That meant South Africans, and South African women especially, were stuck depending on foreign brands built to foreign body standards. Unflattering fits. Sizes that didn't consider real curves and real bodies. William felt like his people weren't being seen.

On top of that, Covid was hard on everyone's physical and mental health. Staying strong — mentally and physically — became a daily task, not a given. But tough times don't last. Tough people do. And staying tough takes a fortified mind and a healthy body.
That gap, and that need, is where Amped Fitness was born — with a vision to elevate consciousness through athleisure wear that reminds people they can do anything they set their minds to.

Today, Amped Fitness makes high-quality, super comfortable, stylish active and athleisure wear for the young and vibrant South African. We're known for designing with real South African women's body structures in mind — flattering cuts and sizes that actually fit, not sizes borrowed from somewhere else. Our brand is clear about one thing: we see, we value, and we respect our own. No South African woman needs to settle for foreign standards that don't understand her curves.
